Why a code of conduct for the laboratory industry?

As can be heard from politics and the media, legislation in the health sector is becoming increasingly complex. From data protection to the Federal Health Insurance Act, which is supposed to ensure that every cost item in the healthcare system is justified, it is made up of many different laws that affect the actions of all service providers.

Medisupport has always been committed to the quality of its services, the accreditation of its laboratory analytics, communication and to a culture of compliance.

Confronted with this regulatory complexity, which sometimes leaves room for interpretation and can therefore lead to misunderstandings, good will is no longer enough to find clear answers to questions faced by the various partners in the healthcare system, such as doctors, insurers and laboratories.

In order to secure this legal framework and to enable the various partners to work in accordance with the various regulations, the association FAMH Laboratory Code Switzerland was founded under the auspices of the FAMH (Professional Association of Medical Laboratories).

This association facilitates exchanges between partners, provides tools for making good and, above all, correct decisions, and ensures that our industry is regulated by setting up internal bodies and a strict set of rules, the FAMH Code of Conduct of Medical Laboratories in Switzerland (FAMH Laboratory Code).
